Why is it that for the entire time I was in a serious relationship I really didn't give a stuff about Valentine's Day? It was just another excuse to spend money we didn't have, so I didn't bother with it. It was just another day. Now that I am single though it feels as though I am missing out. Seriously, it's ridiculous how all of a sudden this day has become so depressing!
Day to day I'm not particularly fussed about the fact I'm not in a relationship but with Valentine's it's like my whole opinion on the subject changes. Yet I know the day after I will be back to not being particularly bothered again. Maybe it is because every other year I have made the choice that we didn't need to bother with presents and things but this year it's not a choice it's just a case of no one is even going to think about buying me presents or a card or flowers or anything! It's not in my control! Haha God knows!
Anyway I have decided that if no one is going to treat me then I guess I should just treat myself! I'm on an early shift at work so when I get home I will be having something yummy to eat, probably pizza, pampering myself, having a nice glass of wine and watching a movie all snuggled up on the sofa with some snacks.
I'm going to pick out a load of lovely products to use. A hair mask, face mask, face scrub, body scrub, and any other kind of lotions and potions I can find in my stash!
Basically I'm going to do all the same things every other girl is doing in preparation for her romantic night in/out...and then I will be sitting in by myself. Oh dear that sounded so much better in my head! Haha!
Who need's a Valentine anyway!
