January Favourites

Well here we are at the end of another month. That can mean only one thing...time for my monthly favourites!

Throughout January I have been listening to a lot of music that I used to listen to when I was younger. There is a lot of new music I have really been liking but some of the older stuff is just bringing back memories of better times and when I was last on the right track to being myself. In particular I have been listening to a lot of Busted and Son of Dork, and just that kind of music. I used to absolutely love these bands but not so much the songs that were huge. From busted I love 'Everything that I knew'. I don't know why I have just always loved this song. 'Little Things' by Son of Dork is another good one. I can't stop listening to them along with a whole load of similar stuff.

I recently picked up the movie  The Perks of Being A Wallflower....how have I never seen this? I really enjoyed it and can see it being a regular watch of mine. I am definitely the kind of person that will keep re-watching a film if I like it. I have to say I think it's the only film I have seen Emma Watson other than Harry Potter and that was very strange at first but you soon forget about Hermione, she's excellent as this character. On the box there is a quote "An absolute must-see" and I totally agree with that.

Since getting my hair done I have vowed to keep it in a good condition. One of the things I am trying to not do is wash it everyday. I figure if I wash it everyday I end up drying it everyday and no matter how much heat protectant I use that isn't good for it. So I needed to pick up a new dry shampoo as I had ran out. So far I have never gotten round to trying the COLAB dry shampoo. I was missing out. I have always bought Batiste one in the past but I am converted. The COLAB one is so good. I picked up the Rio one and it smells so nice and works really well. It's also the extreme volume one because for some reason I feel like I need extra volume these days and it really does what it says on the tin! I highly recommend it if you are looking for a new dry shampoo to try. I can't wait to try some of the other scents out.

My final favourite of the month has been a mascara. It is the Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara (what a mouthful) which I got in the Blockbuster at Christmas time. I love this. I was a bit unsure at first because the brush is massive but once I got used to using it the effect is great. I would highly recommend it if you can get your hands on it.
