First of all I'm a fail. I set out to write a post a day this month and almost made it but over the last couple of days I just haven't managed it.

Time has been disappearing so fast and I am just not organised at all!

Never mind I still wrote A LOT this month.

The Laziest Day

Do you ever do that thing when you tell yourself you will just go for a lie down for an hour or so and then you will get up all refreshed and get everything done.....and then get up 7 and a half hours later?

Yeah that's been my day today oopsy!

I was on a 3am finish at work last night so I didn't get up till probably around 11 or 12 anyway and by 2pm I was falling asleep on the sofa. So I allowed myself an hours nap, but it just all went wrong.

I woke up at 9.30pm!!  Oh poo!

I intended to be up and about no later than 3.30pm so I could get my housework done and get a post written but it just didn't happen.

I don't know what is wrong with me just now I'm just always so bloody tired! No doubt that will be me awake for a while now though so I'm going to get tomorrows post written tonight so at least it will be something decent!

Must get my act together!

Busy B Mini Haul

I'm definitely one of the most unorganised people I know in so many ways. One of my biggest problems is managing my money...I just don't.

Not good when I have bills and things to pay for right? So I decided it is time I sort that side of things out and have purchased a little book to keep track of all my money. I need to find out where it's all going and start looking after it better. If I have to write it all down maybe it will discourage me from wasting so much. 

My Top 5 Mascaras

I thought it was about time for a beauty post. I am desperately needing to have a clear out of my make up drawers and get rid of the products that are past their best, so as I was going through everything anyway I thought it would be an idea to pick out favourite products and maybe do a little series of top 5's. 

Today I'm going to share my top 5 mascaras. In no particular order here they are:

Rimmel Extra Super Lash 101 Black

This is my go to basic mascara that I have repurchased several times over the years. To be honest with you it was probably one of the first kind of mascaras I ever bought. It's the one I buy if I'm on a budget or in a hurry. Just a really good, inexpensive, every day kind of mascara.

I Actually Went Out!

I'm afraid I have kind of failed in my month of blogging because I took yesterday off. I didn't manage to get anything written in advance because I had been ill and I was working yesterday and then out last night so I really didn't have time to write yesterday. I might try and do 2 posts one day to make it up.

Lets back track though...I was out last night. We finally had our works Christmas night out. I wasn't going to go because I was ill but in the end I decided to go but not drink. That way I could take the car and if I was feeling crappy I could come home. 

Yeah I stayed out until about 3am! 

I went to a club sober! haha! Tell you what it was probably more fun not drinking because watching drunk people is hilarious when you are completely sober. 

I'm so glad I went out, I definitely don't do it often enough. 

I didn't even take any pictures! I'm actually useless aren't I?

I'm still not very well though which sucks, but I'm having a nice lazy day today. I should probably be catching up on housework but I have no energy so lazy day it is. 

This has pretty much been what my day has looked like so far 

Might be a little bit productive tonight and do some writing...maybe :)

I'm Ill

Why is it when I actually have something to do at the weekend I get ill? I honestly feel so shit it's unreal. 

I need to cough but if I cough my head hurts.

I'm terrible for not taking medicines when I am ill as well. I avoid it until I'm in so much pain I have to take something. 

Anyway my night is going to consisit of halls , lemsip and lots of water how exciting! I've literally got home, fed the cats and went straight up to bed!

Time to try and get some sleep!

Baking Is Stressful!

I've had a very busy day today! Mum and I both have bake sales for charity coming up at our work so as we were both off today we decided to help each other out. 

I am nackered! We have made mars bar cake, marshmallow squares, caramel shortcake(which was a fail), and cake pops. Obviously tray bake it's not the most difficult thing to make but when you are making loads it's hard work! My arm muscles should be huge by now!

I'm a Hoarder!

Yesterday I wrote about giving my house a good clean, and I've actually started it today. So far it has taken me 2 and a half hours to do 2 rooms! I've come to the conclusion I'm a hoarder!

Originally I was going to have a proper clear out and clean up of the whole house but I have had to resort to just tidying and cleaning for now and go back to the clear out. 

The problem is I keep finding things I forgot I had and I spend far too long looking at them.  I need to be able to decide if it's going in the bin or put it away, or whatever but instead I just sit and look at things. It's a bit silly really.

 

I just don't like to throw things away. I have boxes of books sitting in the attic that have been there since we moved into this house because there was nowhere to put them. I refused to throw them out though. I'm hoping to get some bookshelves for the spare room sometime and turn it into a little library/office/spare room.

I found some things whilst I was tidying up which will show you what I mean about keeping things I don't need .

Writer's Block

I have sat down to write today's post and I literally have nothing to say! Not a thing! At this point I could just do a What's In My Bag post or something but that's not really what I want to do.

I have just got no creativity today for some reason. I'm too tired and so unorganised. When I started this month I was days ahead with posts and here I am sitting with only a couple of hours until I head to work trying to write something for today.

I Need To Exercise More!

I'm so guilty of never ever exercising. My excuse is I'm on my feet all day at work that should be enough...it clearly isn't.

I always say I am going to try and exercise more and get fit  but I just can't do it. I find exercise so boring and soon get fed up of it.

So bearing all that in mind I did something crazy last week...I went for a walk.

How cute are this pair! They are so funny because they act like they don't like each other most of the time but they sooo do!

 It's not too often I catch them cuddling but I bet they do all the time when no one is around! haha! Too cute!!

I'm not going to go on to much because I have already told you what I'm up to today, but I just wanted to say Happy Valentine's! 

I don't know why because I normally say it's just an excuse to spend money, oh well.

 If you are lucky enough to be spoilt by someone today I hope you enjoy what ever you get up to and basically have a good time :)

I Watched Star Wars!

One of my New Years Resolutions this year is to watch all the Star Wars movies, and I have watched one! Woohoo go me. Now before I get into this I have to mention something that seriously annoyed and confused me!! 

Why the hell is there no specific place to start with these films. There are so many debates about which is the best place to start. Some say start with the original ones, so watch number 4 first. Some say start at number 1. I even saw something about watching 4 and 5 then 1,2,3 and then 6! Like what the hell!! 

Anyway I decided to go with the original trilogy first. 

So I started with IV A New Hope. I did have a very basic bit of knowledge about this film, not gonna lie it's probably because of the family guy version. I knew some of the characters and parts of the story. 

So what did I think?

Valentine's Day For the Single Girl

Why is it that for the entire time I was in a serious relationship I really didn't give a stuff about Valentine's Day? It was just another excuse to spend money we didn't have, so I didn't bother with it. It was just another day. Now that I am single though it feels as though I am missing out. Seriously, it's ridiculous how all of a sudden this day has become so depressing! 

Five Things That Are Making Me Smile :)

I'm trying to really be a more positive person this year. Well not just this year but from now on I guess. So I decided it would be a good idea to make myself think about what is making me happy just now. It is so easy to concentrate on the negative things that are going on in my life, when really it should be the positives that are focused on.

So here are five things that are making me smile just now;

1. Troye Sivan's Album Blue Neighbourhood. I absolutely love this album and have pretty much been listening to it on repeat for the past couple weeks. I especially love for him. and Youth. In all honesty I don't think I have come across a single song on the album I don't like.

The Day The World Ended

I am one of those people who gets stupidly attached to 'things'. Like I can't throw a bag away because..., or I can't throw that top away because...get the point? 

There is probably one 'thing' that I am most attached to. Something I use every single day. Something  I have had for a couple of years and looked after better than anything else (except the cats of course).

Today felt like the end of the world....

It's Pancake Day! :)

So today I wanted to do a super cool post on pancake day with mouthwatering photos and a nice easy recipe.....Yeah that's not gonna happen!

I did make pancakes yesterday, but I cheated and used a batter mix. Today I wanted to make them from scratch because it really isn't a difficult recipe. This is where it started to go wrong! I forgot to buy milk, I don't tend to buy it very often because I prefer to use almond milk. Oh well not the end of the world, I just decided to give it a shot with almond milk.

February Glossybox!

February's Glossybox has arrived, and of course it is Valentine's themed! How pretty is this box? I really like it. The theme is actually Beauty Soulmates, which I appreciate because it's the only kind of soulmate I shall have this Valentine's Day!

I'm OK...I Think

If you have been reading Just Julz for a while you will know that for the past couple of years anxiety has been a big part of my life. I just thought I would do a little bit of an update on my mental health!

I think I may be over the worst of it now, last year was certainly the worst I have been.

I had gotten to the stage where if I was on a 10pm finish I wouldn't even be able to drive myself the 15/20 min drive home. I would have to leave my car at work and get someone to pick me up. It became a regular occurrence, not just a now and again kind of thing. 

It is only now that I am coming to the conclusion that all of this was probably mostly down to the fact that deep down I knew I wasn't happy. It's like I was hiding something from myself. I knew something wasn't right and that I needed to do something about it but I was avoiding it and burying everything deep down. It was probably the stress from all of this that made me so anxious.

I don't know why I do it to myself but I spend so much time looking at beauty products online that I just can't afford! I thought I would gather a load of my beauty wants and share them with you.

Pretty much all of these things are way out of my price range. I mean Christian Louboutin nail polish? I don't even use a lot of nail polish but look how cool they look! Some of the others are more realisticly priced like the naked palette, maybe I can save up and get al, the naked palettes. 

For now though I'm on a strict budget and will just have to keep popping thiings on my wishlist and not my credit card!

Jess and Nugget

I thought it was about time for a Jess and Nugget update. Nugget is as much a poser as ever and Jess avoids the camera. Honestly she will be doing something cute or silly and as soon as I get a camera out she stops and walks away! What a diva! I still manage to sneak the odd photo in though.

The Pros and Cons of Living Alone.

I've been living alone for a couple of months now...which makes me an expert on the subject! I have to admit living alone has it's ups and downs. I thought I would share my pros and cons of living alone for those who are considering it.

Pros

*The TV is all mine! I can watch what I want whenever I want!
*I never have to wait for the bathroom.
*If the cats want a cuddle they have no choice but to cuddle me :)
*I often can't be bothered with people so unless I invite anyone over I don't have to make an effort to speak to anyone. (that sounds terrible doesn't it!)
* I only have to make meals that I like and buy food that I like and there is no one to steal it!

Cons

*It can get very quiet and lonely. Talking to myself has become a regular occurrence.
*I have to deal with the big spiders all by myself! I don't mind them...I just don't wanna touch them.
*I have to do all the boring housework and motivating myself to do it is a challenge.
*ALL my money goes on bills.
*There is no one to help move heavy things! I like to rearrange rooms quite often and it's no so easy by myself, have you any idea how heavy a mattress is!!

I'm sure that there are many more pros and cons that I haven't thought of but these are the main ones for me. I honestly thought I would hate living alone and that I would just be anxious all the time but seriously I love it. I'm just one of these people that needs my own space.

What's In My Make Up Bag?

 If you have read my Make Up Collection/Storage post you will know that I have a silly amount of make up. More recently I have been keeping my most used make up in a make up bag so it's easy to find what I need when I'm on 5am starts or just in a hurry. I don't always like doing this because it means I'm using the same things all the time and some things get forgotten in a drawer, but recently it's just been more practical for me.

I recently decided it was time to try out a new primer. I have been a loyal user of Benefit's Porefessional for a while now and I absolutely love it but as it was running low I decided now would be a good time to treat myself to something new.

I decided to give The Body Shop's Instablur a go as I have been wanting to try it for a while now and had seen and heard good things about it.

It claims to be :

Make up extending.

Was it as good as it seemed?
