Wedding Shoes

I always thought the most difficult part of planning my wedding would be finding a wedding dress.... I was wrong! The dress was the easy bit, within an hour I had found the one. It seems that my biggest issue is finding the perfect shoes! I have spent many hours searching the internet and shops for shoes and have found nothing. It's not that I am fussy because I have tried to find something with just some of the elements I am after and still no luck. One of the issues I am having is I need to have an ankle strap, but most of the shoes with an ankle strap either are peep toe (which I hate) or have a low heel. I need the height as I am only 5ft and my partner is over 6ft. I will obviously never manage to get to the same as height as him but a little bit of extra height would be nice. I have really awkward feet as well. I am only a 3 and a half but I have really wide feet as well.
So as you can see I have a few issues when it comes to shoes. This is when I decided to take a look into designing my own shoes. I came across a couple of great websites one of which is Upper Street London and the other Shoes of Prey. Both of these sites are great. You can design exactly what you want and have a choice of materials for different parts of the shoe to be made of. I'm not going to lie this is an expensive option but in my case I think it is worth it. I am getting exactly what I want and they are going to fit well.
Here is some of the designs I came up with.

The top design was created on Upper Street London and the other two on Shoes of Prey. I included the purple in the shoe because my bridesmaids will be wearing purple. I have now ordered one of these designs and I am so excited I can't wait to get them. I ordered from Shoes of Prey as I managed to get the design just right on there and they were slightly less expensive than Upper Street London. I would however highly recommend both sites to anyone looking for the perfect shoe! It is so much fun designing them. I will probably keep playing around with these sights just for fun and maybe save up for some more pairs .

What do you think? Do you like my designs? Which would you choose?

  1. I love this!!! I didn't know that there was a place to design your own shoes!!! I am absolutely in love with the first pair, I'm so glad that you incorporated the colour of the bridesmaid dresses into your shoes. Excellent job on designing these...thanks for sharing.
