Well i think it's safe to say the christmas season is beginning! The shopping channels have been selling christmas related craft items for at least the past month. At work we are doing stock counts of our christmas stock . I may have a little confession to add in here ...............I started my Christmas shopping today!!! Am I mad???? I always thought people doing christmas shopping at this time of year must be some sort of crazy but now that I'm an adult and have bills to pay i think i understand why they do it! Christmas is expensive!!! Actually life is expensive these days . I don't understand why we feel the need to spread the cost over the year though. A lot of us clearly can't afford to spend as much as we do at christmas so why not just cut back?? We need to go back to a time when it wasn't the amount of presents you received or how much they cost, what really mattered was the thought behind the present. Why do we feel the need to spend so much?? Is it because our lifestyles are soooooo hectic these days?? We are always rushing around, do we not have the time to purchase thoughtful and meaningful gifts? Well this year i am going to make the time . I'm not going to spend a fortune on anyone but I am going to think about something that will really mean something to them and that they will really appreciate. Just as well i have started now then I guess!! :)
