Goodbye 2015

Well it's the end of another year and boy has it been an eventful one.

I started this year a married woman, doing a job I really wasn't happy in, and hating the house I lived in.

Crazy how much can change in what seems like no time at all. I am now separated and living alone (well except for the cats of course). I've changed my job and am much happier at work. There has even been enough improvements done to the house so that I don't hate it anymore.

December Favourites

I figured that as it is my last chance this year I best do my favourites this month.

As it has been the festive season I have been wearing Christmas earrings again. I do love Christmas earrings, they can be so tacky but it's ok...because it's Christmas. I did spot some in Asda that are basically baubles, like proper big, I have no idea how anyone could wear those. 

What I Got For Christmas 2015

Well I have to admit I am feeling a little bit spoilt again after this Christmas.  Now that I am 26 I definitely don't expect as much as what I get. 

I got the usual money,vouchers and smellies. Oh and some booze :)

I can't believe it's that time of year already! How is it Christmas again? I have to say this year it just doesn't feel like Christmas at all. It's odd because I am usually quite organised but I'm not at all this year. It just doesn't feel the same, and I know it probably shouldn't because of what's happened this year, but I don't think that's why.

My Christmas Playlist

It has taken me a lot longer than usual this year to start listening to Christmas music. Normally come the 1st of December the Christmas album is out. I think it has just been a busy month so far that Christmas has kind of been forgotten until now...it pains me to say that. All that is changing now though and I have finally started with the Christmas tunes so I thought I would share my playlist with you. In no particular order..

Most of them are pretty old songs but I just don't think anyone really makes the same sort of Christmas songs these days. The old ones are just the best in this case, and I guess because they have always been around they remind me of Christmas's past. I'm sure I have missed some out but I just can't think what.

The Christmas Tag

I have been looking for a Christmas Tag to do for a while and tonight when I went to catch up on my YouTube subscriptions I came across this one that Brogan Tate had done. It seemed like a good one so I decided to have a go.

Here goes....

What's your favourite holiday movie?

Oh there is so many I don't know which to choose. Probably Miracle on 34th Street, just because I can remember watching it a lot when I was younger and I still love it as much now as I did then. Probably not the best Christmas movie out there but I like it. 

What are your favourite Christmas Colours?
I think the classic red is my favourite Christmas Colour. Red just makes me think of Christmas straight away!

Do you stay in your pjs or get dressed up for Christmas day?

I like to get dressed up for Christmas day, although I also like to stay in my pjs for as long as possible. So a bit of both pjs for most of day but dressed up by the time Christmas dinner is ready.

If you could only buy one person a present this year who would it be?
Oh....I don't know. I would probably buy something and give it to someone in need, that way I don't offend friends and family by choosing one of them over the other. Plus no one would dare get mad at me :)

Do you open you presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?

Christmas morning definitely, although I like to sneak one open on Christmas Eve because I just get too excited and can't wait. I am seriously worse than a child.

Have you ever built a gingerbread house?

No I haven't but I almost picked up one of the kits when I was shopping today but decided against it because I had no idea what I was going to do with it once I had made it. I wouldn't have eaten it so it would just be a bit of a waste really.

What do you like to do on your Christmas break?

Christmas break? What's that? I work in a shop so generally the most time off I will get is 2 days. So basically I am as lazy as possible for 2 days! I will be at my parents house for Christmas so will just be spending time with them, watching Christmas movies and probably eating far too much.

Do you have any Christmas wishes?

Not really, just that it is a good day and we all have fun.

What is your favourite Christmas smell?

I really like the sort of spiced apple, cinnamony smells that are around at this time of year. I picked up a Glade candle today called Luminous Apple Spice and it is soooo nice.

What is your favourite Christmas meal or treat?

I feel like I should probably be saying Christmas dinner but I'm not going to because, well for one thing, I don't like turkey. My favourite treat at Christmas time is Mr Kipling Frosty Fancies...yup. I'm bloody obsessed with those things, it's dangerous. I could eat a whole box at a time.

December Glossybox

It's Glossybox time again and in my opinion the most important box of the year! I have to say I wasn't completely sold on this box when it first arrived but now I have had a proper look I think it's a pretty good one. The first plus is that there is an extra product this month, won't complain about that anyway, and we have 3 full size products.

The box itself is a good one but none of my cameras will do it justice probably because its pretty dull today! Annoying. It's actually rose gold and very festive looking. This is The Rose Gold Edit and is in collaboration with beauty blogger Really Ree. The idea behind it is to have everything you need to be all ready and 'glam' for Christmas Day, so there is a bit of everything in here.

All in all I am pleased with this box. The eye roll on has come at just the right time as I am so tired all the time just now and my eyes definitely show it, so I am looking forward to trying that one. Oh and the face mask. I think I need to schedule myself a little pamper evening and make use of that. The only thing I might not get use out of straight away is the liquid lipstick but only because it's not the sort of colour I would wear at this time of year, should get plenty of use come spring/summer though.

Glossybox and Really Ree have really covered everything with this box and I am looking forward to  making use of all the products.

Getting excited for Christmas now :)

I'm Still Alive

I've been a bit of a fail at this recently, life has just been a bit too hectic and I haven't found the time to sit down and write. I have wanted to but I just couldn't sum up the energy or any creativeness whatsoever. I had fully intended to post every day in December up until Christmas but that just isn't going to happen unfortunately.

At work we have just opened a new store and as you can imagine its all go go go just now. I'm pretty sure when we get over the initial novelty of having a new store it will be time for the Christmas madness so this month is going to be a busy one. More than likely a quick one too. I have barely even thought about Christmas yet which is odd for me. I seriously love Christmas.

I haven't even bought myself a chocolate advent calendar this year. I think this will be the first year I haven't had one. I did get the Tanya Burr Cosmetics advent calendar though. Although it is only a 12 days one so I am opening it every second day. I am enjoying it so far, I have a nail polish a lip gloss and an eye shimmer pot. I really like the newer packaging as well.

At least the being busy because of work is a good thing, but coming home to a broken boiler and then problems with moving bills from one account to another is something I could do without. It sucks being a grown up! It's ok though I'm starting to get things sorted out so by the time 2016 comes around it will be all good..hopefully. 

I am going to try and post as much as possible this month but I can't make any promises because I have no idea when I am going to get the chance to.

I just wanted to let everyone know I am still alive and I haven't given up on Just Julz I am just a busy bee at the moment. A good busy though not an oh my god I'm so busy I hate it. :)
